We examine the effects of design changes on injury outcome as related to automobiles and other vehicles. Sophisticated finite element models and crash testing facilities are used to develop improved vehicle structure design and components e.g. roof structures, deployable systems, seats, restraint systems, vehicle frames, window glazing, airbag systems, ejection control countermeasures, barriers, and helmets.
